On behalf of his family, Conquest Music has announced the passing of Paul Andrews, known professionally as Paul Di'Anno.
Paul died at his home in Salisbury at the age of 66.
Born on May 17, 1958, in Chingford, East London, Paul gained recognition as the lead singer of the English heavy metal band IRON MAIDEN from 1978 to 1981. He lent his vocals to their groundbreaking debut album "Iron Maiden" and the influential follow-up, "Killers."
After departing from IRON MAIDEN, Paul Di'Anno had an extensive and varied recording career, working with BATTLEZONE, KILLERS, and releasing several solo projects and guest performances.
Despite battling severe health problems in recent years, which confined him to a wheelchair, Paul continued to perform for his fans worldwide, completing more than 100 shows since 2023.
In September 2024, his first career retrospective album, "The Book Of The Beast," was released, featuring highlights from his post-IRON MAIDEN recordings.
May you rest in peace Mr Paul Di'Anno.
