Featuring three first-time headliners.

Download Festival 2025 has confirmed over 90 bands, with all three main headliners taking the stage for the first time.

For the 22nd edition of Download Festival, pop punk icons Green Day, the genre-blending and enigmatic Sleep Token, and nu metal pioneers Korn will headline for the first time.

Green Day will make their debut appearance at Donington Park, delivering a headline set next June.

Sleep Token, who have previously performed on The Avalanche Stage hosted by Kerrang! Radio in 2022 and The Dogtooth Stage in 2018, are making the huge leap to headline status. They also appeared at Download Pilot in 2021.

Korn, a festival favorite since their first performance in 2004, will be headlining the Apex Stage for the first time next year, marking a significant milestone.

The initial wave of acts for Download Festival XXII also features The Darkness, Frank Carter & The Sex Pistols, Airbourne, Apocalyptica, Jerry Cantrell, Steel Panther, Within Temptation, Spiritbox, Bullet for My Valentine, Don Broco, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, Poppy, and Alien Ant Farm.

Other confirmed artists include Sophie Lloyd, Eagles of Death Metal, Bleed from Within, Loathe, Meshuggah, Lorna Shore, Cradle of Filth, CKY, McFly, Mallory Knox, The Ghost Inside, Turbonegro, Sylosis, Boston Manor, Whitechapel, Kittie, Fit for an Autopsy, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Sikth, Jinjer, and many more.

Andy Copping of Download Festival comments: “Following on from last year’s sold out 21st edition, Download’s legacy not only includes the incredible artists who have performed at the hallowed grounds over the years, but also our unrivalled community, safe and warm atmosphere, and fantastic afterhours entertainment at District X, with something for truly everyone.”

The DLXXII line-up was revealed during a special Metal Gala launch event at One Marylebone in London on November 12th.

Esteemed actor Paddy Considine (House Of The Dragon, Peaky Blinders), who will perform at this year’s Download with his band Riding The Low, features in the announcement video alongside other Humans of Download. In the short film titled ‘Est Momentum,’ Considine says, “a place where legends are born. This is where you belong.”

With many more names still to come, Download Festival XXII is set for Friday June 13th to Sunday June 15th 2025 at Donington Park, Derbyshire.
