GHOST CONFIRM MOBILE PHONE BAN ON 2025 TOUR

Ghost has confirmed that their 2025 world tour concerts will be a “phone-free experience.”

Earlier on October 28th, Ghost unveiled the first 55 dates of their global tour, starting with four arena shows in Manchester, Glasgow, London, and Birmingham in April 2025.

A promotional poster for Ghost’s tour now states that mobile phone use will not be allowed during the shows.

“This show will be a phone-free experience,” reads Ghost’s poster. “Phones will be secured in Yondr pouches. Guests maintain possession of their phones at all times.”

In a separate statement, Ghost added: “The Ghost live ritual experience has seen audiences all over the world turning off their phones and living in the moment—completely spellbound and in the thrall of Ghost.”

Mobile phones were previously banned at Ghost’s two 2024 concerts at the Los Angeles Kia Forum. The events were filmed for their feature film *Rite Here Rite Now*.

Ghost’s leader, Tobias Forge—aka Papa Emeritus IV—later praised these shows as Ghost’s “best” live performances to date.

Reflecting on the phone-free atmosphere, Forge remarked, “I have never seen a crowd interact the way that they did since I was in a club band.

“They were the best shows I’ve ever done with Ghost, just because I didn’t have to see those f---ing mobile phones.”

Artists like Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, and Bob Dylan have also used the patented Yondr system from a San Francisco-based tech firm to create completely phone-free concert environments.

Upon entering the phone and smartwatch-free zone, devices are placed in a Yondr case that locks. The phone remains in your possession inside the pouch.

In case of emergency, attendees can unlock their phones anytime by going to a designated, signposted area meant for phone use.
